My painting is already ready to go.
I did a sketch.
I shot a photo.
A prepped the panel.
I cut the fuse.
I found the gunpowder.
I grabbed my lighter.
I felt confident about the future.
I think I am telling story.
I’m creating something you can’t look away from.
Tension is rising.
I’ve just committed to two new shows.
I’ve just committed to two new commissions.
Maybe I’m totally deluded.
Can I make compelling art at a rapid clip if it’s burning?
Is speed and volume critical to achieving my goals?
No way. It’s more important that viewers respond.
